Supercars Cantabria is already underway: Day 1

The X Edition of Cantabria Supercars has started its engines on Thursday with the arrival of the first participants to Santander, where they have enjoyed a quiet day of rest and reunions before starting tomorrow the routes along the roads of the Cantabrian mountain range.

About twenty cars from all over the Spanish geography and two McLaren MP4-12C arrived by ferry from the United Kingdom have met this afternoon in the vicinity of the Maritime Museum of Cantabria. The rest of the procession will arrive in the next hours to enjoy the activities prepared for the weekend.

The owners have gone as a family to the Restaurant VORS, on Calle Castelar, where they have enjoyed a three-course meal accompanied by specialties from the region. Jesús Solano and Ana Griga, members of the organization, have served as masters of ceremonies in the meeting with the participants.

After lunch, the caravan has headed to the Parque de la Magdalena, a municipally owned park that joins peninsula, beach and even a zoo with sea lions and penguins, as well as a palace that this Friday will host the gala dinner of Superdeportivos Cantabria .

To conclude the day, some sixty registered people have gathered at the Hotel Santemar Restaurant, at a dinner that has had more than sixty participants.

Tomorrow, Friday, the cars will go to Santillana del Mar. They will be 140 kilometers of route through the Cantabrian roads to visit the Altamira Caves, one of the great novelties of Cantabria Supercars in its tenth edition.
